AI Steps Into Every School in Uzbekistan

The country is launching a series of large-scale initiatives to prepare a new generation of digital leaders

Uzbekistan has announced a major educational transformation: artificial intelligence will become part of the curriculum in every school in the country. At the international forum, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed holding an annual "Artificial Intelligence Month for Youth" — with competitions, hackathons, seminars, and educational projects for schoolchildren, students, and young professionals. At the same time, a new AI startup competition is being launched among students, the winners of which will receive school artificial intelligence laboratories.

The strategy includes the "5 Million Artificial Intelligence Leaders" program, designed for large-scale training of young people in modern digital skills. By 2030, it is planned to train 4.75 million students, 150,000 teachers, and 100,000 civil servants in specialized programs in the field of AI. Thus, the country is forming a systematic personnel reserve for the future technological economy.

In parallel, Uzbekistan is launching a major collaboration with Nvidia: a supercomputer cluster will be created for AI tasks, and a national technology transfer office will open in Silicon Valley. Artificial intelligence programs will begin to be implemented in "Centers of the Future" throughout the country, which should accelerate the formation of a new digital ecosystem and strengthen Uzbekistan's position on the map of global technological initiatives.
