Uzbekistan is considering purchasing aviation fuel from Kuwait. This issue was discussed during the working visit of the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov to the State of Kuwait, where meetings were held with key representatives of the country's energy and trade sectors.
Negotiations took place with the Minister of Oil of Kuwait and the head of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, Tareq Suleiman Al-Roumi, as well as the Minister of Trade and Industry, Khalifa Al-Askar. The parties discussed cooperation in the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors, the development of logistics and trade, as well as possible supplies of aviation fuel for Uzbek airlines. Additionally, the Uzbek side expressed interest in increasing the export of fruits and vegetables and the mutual recognition of standards and laboratory accreditation.
Special attention was paid to the investment agenda at a meeting with the Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Renewable Energy of Kuwait, as well as the Acting Minister of Finance, Sabih Abdulaziz Al-Muhayzim. The deepening of bilateral trade and the initiative to create a Development Fund "Persian Gulf Countries - Central Asia" were discussed. The parties confirmed their readiness to proceed with the practical implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the intergovernmental commission.
