By 2030, the Number of Private Airlines Will Reach 15

Uzbekistan is Ready to Revolutionize Aviation

The new strategy "Uzbekistan - 2030" outlines ambitious goals to transform the country into one of the leaders in air transport in the region. The main focus is on increasing competition, expanding the geography of flights, and convenience for passengers. It is planned to sharply increase the number of private airlines, bringing it to 15, which promises more flight options and improved service quality.

The number of flights is also expected to increase significantly: the total number of flights should reach 200,000 per year, with domestic flights between regions increasing to 41,000, and routes outside Tashkent to 1,560. This scheme will gradually reduce the dominance of the capital and open up new opportunities for the regions.

In addition, plans include the modernization of five major airports through public-private partnerships and the expansion of the aircraft fleet to 180 aircraft. Passenger traffic by 2030 should increase to 24 million people. If these plans are implemented, citizens will have more choice, and competition can affect the cost of tickets, making aviation more accessible and convenient.
