Well-known American investor Jim Rogers has sold all of his US stocks and reallocated some capital into Uzbek assets.
In an interview with RBC Investments, he explained the decision by concerns about a correction in the American market after the historical growth of the S&P 500 in 2025, when the index grew by more than 16% and reached 6845.49 points.
Rogers acquired "most of the securities traded on the Republican Stock Exchange Toshkent," including companies in the banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, and other sectors. At the same time, he did not buy sovereign bonds and did not hedge currency risks on the sum, expressing confidence in the national currency.
The investor showed interest in the Uzbek market back in 2021, although he did not own assets in the country at that time. At the same time, Rogers continues to hold shares in Chinese companies, including Air China and China Eastern, although he does not rule out a possible exit from this market due to the rapid growth of quotations.
