Uzbekistan and Anadolu Isuzu outline the development of the Samarkand Automobile Plant

Production will be expanded, including new agricultural machinery and export deliveries

The Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a working meeting with the General Director of Anadolu Isuzu, Yusuf Arikan. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation, including the modernization of facilities, localization and technology transfer, as well as the phased development of the Samarkand Automobile Plant, where the investor acquired 75.2% of the shares in December 2025.

Particular attention was paid to the launch of production of new types of agricultural machinery and specialized vehicles, expanding the model range and increasing production volumes. The products will be focused on both the domestic market and export.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding cooperation in the automotive industry. The deal to sell the state share in SamAuto to the Turkish company Anadolu Isuzu was completed in December 2025.
