WB Taxi in Uzbekistan has been headed by Timur Aliyev, who previously oversaw the development of the Yandex Go taxi service in the country. The appointment was announced by RVB - the merged company Wildberries & Russ. In his new role, Aliyev will form a sustainable operating model for WB Taxi and develop partnerships with drivers and taxi fleets, strengthening the service's position in the urban mobility market.
Previously, Aliyev oversaw the launch of Yandex Go in seven cities of Uzbekistan, ensured the expansion of the availability of digital transport services, and created a transparent ecosystem for drivers. Under his leadership, the first fleet taxi park, the "Yandex Fleet" product, the car booking service to the first line of Tashkent Airport, and other solutions that contributed to the development of the industry were launched.
Anatoly Smorgonsky, Director of the Department for the Development of Technologies, Taxi Service and Transportation at RVB, noted that Timur Aliyev's experience and expertise will be a key factor in the growth of WB Taxi. The company expects that under his leadership, the service will strengthen its position in the market, expand its coverage of cities, and improve the quality of services for drivers and passengers.
