A 2.4 Thousand Hectare "Fergana" Tourist Zone to be Created in Uzbekistan

A new tourist and recreational zone "Fergana" with an area of 2,396 hectares will appear in the Fergana region. The decision to create it was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The project is designed for 30 years with the possibility of extension in the future, and the territory will become a platform for the development of tourism infrastructure and entrepreneurship.

The "Vodil" agro-tourism cluster will gradually be transformed into a full-fledged tourist location: light infrastructure facilities for receiving visitors will be erected on raspberry plantations. In 2026-2027, services will be launched around the "Central Fergana" reservoir in the Yazъyavan district, which will create new jobs.

Agritourism will be developed in the "Sanоat" and "Khosilot" mahallas of the Fergana region, based on foreign experience: raspberry plantations, cold storage warehouses and deep processing workshops are planned. The project is aimed at attracting tourists and supporting local entrepreneurship.
