The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reported on the stable operation of the energy system on January 22, 2026, and the uninterrupted supply of energy resources to the population and the economy. Over the day, the country's power plants generated 270.7 million kWh of electricity, which amounted to 105% of the planned target. Supplies to consumers reached 244.6 million kWh, also exceeding the plan.
At the same time, stable supplies of gas and fuel were maintained. Daily consumption of natural gas amounted to 152.3 million cubic meters, of which a part was directed to auto gas filling stations. Production of liquefied gas reached 2,300 tons, exceeding the plan by 109%. 1,900 tons were shipped to the population and social facilities, and a reserve of 6.5 thousand tons was formed at regional gas stations. The supply of gasoline and diesel fuel also remained at a level sufficient for the needs of the economy.
Electricity supply during this period was carried out in an enhanced round-the-clock mode. Emergency services eliminated 14 malfunctions in electrical installations and 3 incidents in the gas supply system. Temporary outages were recorded in some areas of Tashkent, Fergana and other regions due to weather conditions and accidents on the lines, but the power supply was restored in stages, and all interruptions were completely eliminated by the end of the day and the morning of January 23.
