Namangan is being transformed into a "smart" region: AI will take control of cities, schools and universities

More than 200,000 cameras, Smart School and a unified digital platform for infrastructure management

Large-scale digitalization projects using artificial intelligence technologies are actively being deployed in the Namangan region. The "Smart City", "Smart University" and "Smart School" initiatives, as well as modern AI management and education systems, are being implemented in the region in stages. The khokim of the region, Shavkatzhon Abdurazzokov, got acquainted with the progress of the work, having visited the future "Smart Center", which is planned to be created on the basis of the Namangan State Technical University in the Davlatobod district.

The center will be located in the building of the Faculty of Economics and will operate on the basis of an artificial intelligence laboratory. The project envisages the launch of a "Smart University", a "Smart School" and innovative platforms focused on modernizing educational and communal infrastructure. It is planned to provide management of the educational process through a single digital platform, the introduction of AI in the administration and control of key facilities in the region.

One of the key tasks of the "Smart Center" will be the centralized management of urban infrastructure. More than 200,000 video cameras will be used to monitor public safety, transport, utilities, waste management and engineering networks using AI. At the same time, IT companies with more than 50 jobs will start operating in the center, and in the field of education, based on the experience of China, school No. 52 of the Davlatobod district will gradually switch to the Smart School model.
