Money Transfers to Uzbekistan Hit Record Highs

Almost $19 billion in 2025

The inflow of money transfers to Uzbekistan reached $18.9 billion by the end of 2025, which is 27.2% more than in 2024, the country’s Central Bank reports. These inflows remain a key source of income for the population and support domestic consumption. Throughout the year, transfer volumes exceeded the figures for the same period of the previous year almost every month.

The main growth factors were the strengthening of the currencies of partner countries, primarily the Russian ruble, as well as an increase in the number of labor migrants sending money home. Alongside this, the positive difference between foreign currency sales and purchases by the population amounted to $9.7 billion, which is 1.4 times higher than a year earlier.

A consistently high inflow of funds from abroad helps maintain stability in the foreign exchange market and strengthens domestic consumption. Experts note that external money flows continue to remain an important driver of the country’s economic stability.
