On January 30, 2026, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Kazakhstan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, Beibut Atamkulov. The parties discussed the current state and prospects of trade, economic, investment, and transport cooperation, confirming their readiness to increase trade volumes under a joint program to $10 billion by 2030.
At the end of 2025, mutual trade turnover reached $4.97 billion, increasing by 11.4% compared with the previous year. Exports amounted to $1.55 billion (+1.2%), while imports totaled $3.4 billion (+16.6%). Attention also focused on preparations for the first meeting of the Council of Heads of Regions in 2026 and the organization of the "Made in Uzbekistan" and "Made in Kazakhstan" industrial exhibitions.
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening the strategic partnership, expanding investment cooperation, and maintaining a regular constructive dialogue, which creates a foundation for sustainable growth in trade and cooperation between the countries.
