The Agency for Innovative Development of Uzbekistan plans to launch the "Olima" club, which will become a platform to support women working in the scientific and innovative fields. The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between scientists and young researchers, develop a mentoring system, and promote best practices.
On February 11, in honor of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the agency held a round table on "The Voice of Women in Science." The event was attended by scientists, students, start-ups, and representatives of ministries. The discussion focused on ways to expand women's participation in scientific activities, effectively use grants, update research, and promote inventions created by women.
The Olima initiative is designed to create opportunities for sharing experiences, identifying and overcoming social barriers, and increasing international recognition of projects by Uzbek female researchers. The club will become a center for mentoring, collaboration, and support for innovative ideas, contributing to the growth of the country's scientific potential among women.
