Uzbekistan targets 510,000 cars per year

Last year, the country produced 458,000 passenger cars

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has set the task of increasing car production to 510,000 vehicles per year. This concerns further capacity building and expansion of production amid the steady growth of the industry.

Last year, the country produced 458,000 passenger cars. Thus, in order to achieve the new goal, the industry needs to add more than 50,000 units to the current result.

The plans to increase production reflect the course towards the development of the local automotive industry, the expansion of export potential and the strengthening of Uzbekistan's position as one of the largest car manufacturers in the region.
