Uzbekistan is introducing new rules for non-governmental forensic expert organizations, simplifying their operations and registration. According to Resolution No. 73 dated February 20, 2026, companies and individual bureaus will be able to register online through an automated system, eliminating previous bureaucratic barriers and reducing requirements for the number of experts. The new regulations also govern the retraining of specialists and their inclusion in the Unified Register of professionals with confirmed competence.
Non-governmental experts will now be able to operate as non-profit organizations or individual bureaus, and the educational program for them will be divided into 40% theory and 60% practice in state forensic institutions. This will make it possible to build a transparent and balanced personnel training process, raising the professional level of specialists in the field of forensic examination.
Oversight of the activities of private experts will be ensured by the Expert Qualification Commission under the Ministry of Justice, which will assess professional skills and compliance with standards. The new rules are aimed at increasing transparency, improving the efficiency of private bureaus, and creating a strong base of qualified forensic experts in Uzbekistan.
