Uzbekistan is launching electronic document management for forensic examinations through the E-ekspertiza platform. The new resolution regulates all stages of work with cases: appointment of expertise, submission of materials, receipt of requests, conducting research and preparing conclusions. Now, documents not sent through the system will not be accepted for consideration.
The platform allows materials to be returned to the body appointing the examination and payment to be made electronically. Expert organizations will be able to monitor the progress of examinations online, which significantly speeds up the process and increases transparency.
Full integration of E-ekspertiza with other departmental systems, as provided for by the presidential decree, ensures data exchange between judicial and expert structures. As a result, the time for conducting examinations is reduced, paper document flow and postal costs are reduced, and ICT is more actively introduced into the judicial sphere.
As a reminder, Uzbekistan is also introducing new rules for non-state forensic expert organizations, simplifying their work and registration.
