Uzbekistan and India set sights on AI and chips

100 specialists to be trained in IC Design

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, a delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan held talks on the development of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and digital infrastructure.

During a meeting with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), an agreement was reached on free online training for 100 Uzbek specialists in IC Design. The parties expressed their readiness to consolidate cooperation with a separate memorandum.

Negotiations were also held with the India Semiconductor Mission and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India. The development of the semiconductor industry, increasing computing power, and building infrastructure for AI were discussed.

A separate emphasis was placed on personnel training, scientific and technical partnership, and the launch of technology transfer projects. It is expected that the agreements reached will accelerate the formation of a high-tech ecosystem in Uzbekistan and strengthen the country's integration into global production chains.
