New legislative norms aimed at digitizing public services and simplifying bureaucratic procedures will come into force in Uzbekistan from March 1, 2026. This is reported by the Norma.uz portal, publishing an overview of key changes that will affect the areas of entrepreneurship, construction, ecology, licensing, social protection and e-governance.
Significant innovations will affect the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services (EPIGU). Now citizens will be able to make changes online to information about their place of residence, as well as receive a death registration certificate with a QR code, equated to a certificate with a coat of arms. The electronic document will be automatically sent to the personal accounts of close relatives, which will speed up and simplify the process of obtaining official information.
In addition, it will be possible to preliminarily obtain judicial data on civil, administrative and economic cases, as well as on cases of administrative offenses, through the EPIGU. These measures are designed to increase the transparency of government bodies, reduce paperwork and make services for citizens more accessible in digital format.
