British architectural company Cross Works intends to open a regional office in Tashkent. This became known after a meeting between the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Ravshan Usmanov, and the founder and managing director of the company, Hakan Akchem. The new division will become a center for coordinating projects in Central Asia and the CIS countries.
The company, headquartered in London, specializes in urban and territorial planning, architectural design, digital mapping and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects.
During the negotiations, the head of Cross Works noted the successful cooperation with the Uzbek authorities, including the Directorate for the Construction of New Tashkent. The company is already participating in a number of initiatives related to the development of the new part of the capital, and is considering opportunities to expand work in other regions of the country.
In particular, projects in Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva are being discussed. In addition, Cross Works plans to launch exchange programs and advanced training for Uzbek architects and engineers.
