BP is ready to invest big: Uzbekistan strengthens energy partnership

The British side expressed interest in a long-term and systematic partnership

Uzbekistan is discussing expanding cooperation with British Petroleum, focusing on large investments and technological development. Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov held talks with company representative Michael Denison, where the parties noted progress after a meeting with the participation of Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, which took place in February. It was then that the foundation was laid for further joint projects.

The British side expressed interest in a long-term and systematic partnership. Key areas include exploration and production of hydrocarbons, the introduction of modern technologies, and the development of energy infrastructure. It is expected that such projects will not only strengthen the industry but also have a positive impact on the country's investment climate.

Following the negotiations, BP confirmed its intention to participate in the V Tashkent International Investment Forum. This event is seen as an important platform for launching new initiatives and further deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and international energy players.
