A new production line of MaxCopper, supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has been launched in Tashkent.
The project was presented to the First Vice President of the EBRD, Gregoire Gaetjens, and the Head of the Bank's Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Andi Aranitasi. It is noted that such initiatives strengthen the country's industrial potential and provide access to international markets.
The EBRD has allocated up to EUR 10 million in financing to the enterprise. The funds will be used to expand production and purchase raw materials, including copper cathodes. This will increase production volumes and ensure the stable operation of the enterprise amid growing demand.
MaxCopper specializes in the production of copper pipes and fittings for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The main part of the production is focused on export to Europe and neighboring countries. The project is seen as an important step in diversifying industry and introducing modern quality standards.
