Uzbekistan is strengthening cooperation with Ericsson, focusing on modernizing the telecommunications infrastructure and introducing advanced technologies. The meeting between the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov and the company representative took place in Washington and touched upon key areas of industry development.

The main attention was paid to reforms in the telecommunications sector, expanding broadband internet coverage and introducing new generation networks. Plans to upgrade the infrastructure were discussed, which should improve the quality of communication and accelerate the country's digital transformation.

The prospects of "smart cities", the development of the Internet of Things and network management using artificial intelligence became a separate block. These areas are seen as the basis for further technological growth and strengthening the digital economy of Uzbekistan.
