The Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan held a meeting with Frank Panbilan, Chief Strategy Officer for International Data Cooperation.
During the negotiations, discussions revolved around attracting leading Chinese technology companies through the opening of representative offices in the Lin-gang special zone, creating joint startup hubs in universities, and implementing China's best practices for the development of digital services and "smart cities" in Uzbekistan.
Lin-gang Science and Technology Park has attracted over $100 billion in investments over the past six years and covers an area of over 120 sq. km. In addition, Linkwise founder Thomas Wang reported that computing power worth $70 million has already been allocated to the MIHM project in the Tashkent region.
It is expected that cooperation with China will strengthen the country's innovation potential, expand technology exchange, and attract new investments, taking bilateral digital ties to a new level.
