Uzbekistan and Japan discussed the launch of the joint project Japanistan, aimed at developing cooperation in the field of culture, creative industries and tourism. The negotiations were held by the Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Sanjar Tajiev, with representatives of the Japanese initiative Cool Japan and the media platform XPJP Inc.
During the meeting, the parties considered the possibilities of jointly promoting the tourism potential of the two countries. In particular, the idea of creating thematic content and television programs that will be broadcast both in Uzbekistan and in Japan, creating mutual interest in tourist destinations, was discussed.
A separate emphasis was placed on expanding media cooperation and integrating cultural projects into the information space. According to the participants, this can strengthen humanitarian ties and contribute to the growth of tourist flows between countries, as well as increase the recognition of regions in the international arena.
