Chinese company Xinjiang Weijie Investment Holding Group presented an initiative to create a modern technopark in Fergana. The project was discussed at a meeting attended by regional head Khayrullo Bozorov and a delegation of investors led by Mao Qi.
The plan concerns the development of a site with high-tech manufacturing in industry, agriculture, and trade. The project is expected to meet international standards and will make it possible to increase the region's export potential.
The sides noted that the initiative still needs to be worked out in detail, including the preparation of specific implementation parameters. Following the talks, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation and jointly develop investment solutions.
