In Uzbekistan, a digital system for returning vehicles from impound lots will be launched on June 1. The decision is enshrined in a government decree and aims to transfer the procedure to an online format and reduce processing time.
Applications for vehicle retrieval can be submitted through the MyGov.uz portal, the SBDD mobile application, or at public service centers. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan has been instructed to ensure the integration of all information systems into a single digital environment by the end of May.
After data verification and confirmation of the grounds for returning the vehicle, the permit will be issued within one working day. The service will remain free, while the option to submit an application in the traditional format – through SBDD units – will also be preserved.
