Enterprises in Uzbekistan produced industrial goods worth 289.3 trillion soums in January-March 2026, an 8% increase compared to the same period last year. As of April 1, there were 61 thousand industrial enterprises operating in the republic. The largest number of enterprises operate in food production – 12.2 thousand (20% of the total). In second place is the production of other non-metallic mineral products – 8.5 thousand enterprises (13.9%), and in third place is clothing production (6.2 thousand enterprises, 10.1%).
Manufacturing industry remains dominant, accounting for 85.1% of the total production volume (246.1 trillion soums). The mining industry provided 7%, electricity, gas, and steam supply – 7.4%. During the quarter, 9.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas, 157.3 thousand tons of oil, and 1.1 million tons of coal were extracted. Oil refining produced 313.2 thousand tons of gasoline and 280.9 thousand tons of diesel fuel. 4.1 million tons of Portland cement, 197.4 thousand tons of yarn, and 407.9 thousand tons of wheat flour were produced.
The average volume of industrial production per capita across the country was 7.6 million soums. The maximum indicator was recorded in Navoiy Region – 66 million soums per person (8.7 times higher than the average). In terms of per capita growth rates, Sirdaryo (107.1%), Samarkand (107%), and Namangan (106.8%) regions are leading. In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the largest shares are occupied by food production (16.1%), textiles and clothing (15.2%), as well as metal products, machinery, and equipment (16.4%).
