The largest national marketplace, Uzum Market, is launching a new direction that will allow entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan to sell goods outside the country. The platform is preparing an export e-commerce model, using its existing digital and logistics infrastructure.
The company notes that this solution will allow local sellers to enter foreign markets without the need to switch to third-party services. At the same time, the platform will maintain priority for Uzbek entrepreneurs, without direct pressure from foreign sellers. Cooperation with the national postal operator and the development of the logistics network will play a key role in the project.
Over the past two years, Uzum Market has already expanded its delivery infrastructure, opening more than 820 pick-up points through Uzpost post offices. Now, cross-border trade will be the next step – primarily to Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. The potential audience of these markets is estimated at more than 36 million people, which opens up a new scale of growth for local businesses.
