The "Uzeltehsanoat" Association held negotiations with Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor, during which the parties discussed possible areas of industrial cooperation and the launch of joint projects in the automotive industry.
The meeting took place between the Chairman of the Association, Mirziyod Yunusov, and the Vice President of Great Wall Motor, Andy Zhang. The main focus was on industrial cooperation, production localization, and expanding the presence of modern automotive technologies in the Uzbekistan market.
The parties also discussed the development of the electrical engineering industry, the production of battery systems, and the integration of new solutions into automotive assembly processes. The topic of global growth in demand for electric vehicles and hybrid models, as well as the need to develop automotive component supply chains, was also raised. The negotiations are seen as a step towards possible deeper cooperation in the high-tech segment of the automotive industry.
