A business forum was held in Kabul with the participation of representatives of the private sector of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, resulting in the signing of 13 trade and investment agreements totaling over $100 million. This was reported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Afghanistan.
The event was attended by entrepreneurs, business associations, and officials from both countries. The main focus was on expanding economic interaction, increasing trade turnover, and finding new directions for joint investments.
Afghanistan's Minister of Industry and Trade, Nooruddin Azizi, stated that relations between Kabul and Tashkent have significantly intensified in recent months. He emphasized that the country continues to create conditions for attracting investors and developing joint ventures in various economic sectors.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Amanbay Orynbayev, a representative of the Parliament of Karakalpakstan and Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Uzbekistan. He confirmed interest in expanding economic cooperation and noted that the new agreements would be an important stage in the development of regional ties. According to the parties, the total volume of bilateral agreements has already exceeded $1.5 billion, and the implementation of new projects is expected to boost trade and stimulate economic growth in the region.
