As part of the "Uzbekistan Energy Week," representatives of the Ministry of Energy held negotiations with the French company Voltalia. The main topic of the meeting was the development of joint projects in renewable energy and accelerating their implementation in the country.
The key project remains the construction of a 100 MW wind power plant in the Bukhara region. It also includes the creation of a 100 MW/200 MWh energy storage system. In addition, the parties discussed a 200 MW/800 MWh energy storage project in the Tashkent region, which should enhance the stability of the region's energy system.
Special attention was paid to preparing agreements for signing within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, as well as launching a 500 kW agrivoltaic solar power plant. Its commissioning is scheduled for July. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to continue cooperation and ensure the timely implementation of all projects.
