Following the instructions of the President of Uzbekistan, a delegation from Karakalpakstan led by Amanbay Orynbayev visited China and held negotiations with authorities and businesses in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The main focus was on attracting investments and expanding cooperation in industry, logistics, agriculture, and developing logistics chains for the region.
At the business forum, agreements were reached on launching new projects. A memorandum was signed with China Railway Construction Heavy Industry for the assembly of agricultural machinery in Nukus. Chemical production, including caustic soda and PVC, and the creation of the "Aral Dry Port" logistics center in Karakalpakstan and XUAR were also discussed.
In the energy sector, projects with Goldwind for wind energy are being considered, as well as a $40 million contract with Tianfeng for cotton. Additionally, initiatives in mechanical engineering, feed base, building materials, and cable products are being developed to strengthen the region's economy in the long term.
