Negotiations took place in Uzbekistan with the participation of Malaysia's Medical Device Authority (MDA). The delegation studied the infrastructure of the Tashkent Pharma Park cluster, including production sites, research centers, and laboratories, which form the basis of the country's future pharmaceutical ecosystem.
A key event was a meeting at the Pharmaceutical Product Safety Center, where the implementation of the previously signed memorandum and further expansion of the partnership were discussed. Special attention was paid to the development of the medical device regulatory system, harmonization of approaches, and the introduction of international quality control practices.
The parties agreed to launch joint laboratory tests, exchange experts, and conduct training programs for Uzbek specialists at the MDA. A technical mission of Malaysian experts is also planned for June, which will audit and prepare recommendations for improving the regulatory framework.
