JSC "United National Processing Center" UZCARD and international payment system Mastercard have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing the digital payment infrastructure in Uzbekistan. The document was presented in Samarkand during the meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank.

The parties agreed to consider joint projects to expand the acceptance of cashless payments, develop cross-border settlements, and introduce new fintech solutions. Special attention is paid to creating value-added digital services and strengthening cybersecurity amidst the growth of online operations.

Within the framework of the partnership, it is planned to combine Mastercard's international experience with UZCARD's local infrastructure to accelerate the digital transformation of the financial sector.
