In Uzbekistan, 107 motorists who exceeded the established limit of 12 penalty points for traffic violations will be deprived of their driving licenses by court decision. The measure is part of the current point-based control system for road discipline.
After the court decisions come into force, offenders will have to undergo a license restoration procedure. This includes retraining in specialized driving schools, as well as passing theoretical and practical driving exams. To successfully pass the test, it is necessary to correctly answer at least 46 out of 50 questions.
Drivers can also monitor accumulated penalty points online through the “Smart” mobile application of the Road Safety Service. The system allows tracking violations in real time and warns about approaching the critical limit.
