More than 2500 startup founders, investors, and fund representatives participated in Global Tech Weekend × TECH FEST, held in Tashkent from May 15 to 17. The event was the first of its scale for the capital and was dedicated to the development of startup ecosystems and investments in new technologies, including AI and digital platforms.
The program discussed venture financing, project scaling, and the transformation of the global market. Representatives from a16z Speedrun and Headstarter spoke about founder selection criteria, while experts from DOMiNO Ventures and RocketFuel discussed the development of UGC platforms and international growth strategies. Special attention was paid to the Central Asian market and the speed of startup scaling.
Among local participants, IT Park Uzbekistan played a key role, presenting a regional perspective on investments and startup development. The festival concluded with discussions on entrepreneurial mistakes and burnout, where speakers shared experiences of overcoming crisis situations and finding new growth points for technology projects.
