Uzbekistan has performed its first remote surgical operation using robotic technologies. This was announced by the country's Ministry of Health. The operation was performed by Abdurashid Abdukarimov, a specialist from the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Surgery, who was in China at the time of the intervention.

The Ministry of Health noted that robotic surgery combines modern achievements in medicine, digital technologies, and intelligent systems. The method is minimally invasive, allows complex manipulations to be performed with high precision, and reduces the burden on the patient. Thanks to this, recovery after surgery is faster, and the risk of complications is reduced.

The Ministry emphasized that the distance between the doctor and the patient is no longer a serious limitation. Modern technologies already allow operations to be performed remotely, and the first such procedure in Uzbekistan has become an important stage for the entire healthcare system of the country. The Ministry of Health believes that the introduction of robotic surgery will open a new stage in the development of high-tech medicine.
