A roadmap for metro development has been approved in Tashkent, providing for the construction of a new metro line to the Chilanzar district. The corresponding resolution was signed on May 15 by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The project includes the route "Mingurik – Chilanzar Flea Market (Hippodrome)" and will be implemented in stages. The first stage involves building a 6.5 km section from the "Mingurik" station to the Southern Railway Station, and the second stage will extend the line by another 5.5 km to the final destination.

The program also includes updating metro management, improving transport safety, and modernizing transport infrastructure. The preparation of project documentation should be completed in the coming months, after which the project will be submitted for expert review and approval to the Tashkent government.
