In April 2026, the business activity index in Uzbekistan increased by 6.5% compared to March, reaching 1065 points. According to the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, the indicator grew by 22% year-on-year, signaling a significant revitalization of the country's economy.
Growth was recorded across almost all key areas. The number of business bank account operations increased by 8.3%, and the volume of raw material purchases on the commodity exchange grew by 5.4%. The surge in trademark activity was particularly notable, with the indicator rising by 33.9%. The number of active economic entities also continued to grow.
Karakalpakstan, Namangan, Jizzakh, and Sirdaryo regions showed the highest rates of business activity growth. The trading volume on the Republican Commodity Exchange reached 8532 billion soums, an increase of 14.4% over the month. An additional sign of growth was the increase in the number of companies: the total number of active entities exceeded 514.7 thousand, and the number of small enterprises reached 420.9 thousand.
