The Government of Uzbekistan approved Resolution No. 270 dated May 21, 2026, which introduces the procedure for providing a special tax regime for foreign citizens. The new mechanism involves submitting applications through the my.gov.uz portal, electronic tax services, or public service centers.

To obtain the status, it is necessary to provide a passport and documents confirming legal stay in the country. After the application is reviewed by tax authorities, a decision is made by a special commission, and the applicant receives a notification within one business day.

If approved, the foreign citizen is required to open a bank account or crypto wallet and pay a special fee of $50,000. The regime also applies to adult family members and can be valid for up to five years, depending on the period specified in the application.
