Uzbekistan's Industry Grows

Production volume exceeded 394 trillion soums, with manufacturing industries leading the way

In Uzbekistan, from January to April 2026, the volume of industrial production reached 394.7 trillion soums, an increase of 7.8% compared to the same period last year. This is according to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee.

The country has over 61 thousand industrial enterprises, a significant portion of which are concentrated in the food, construction, textile, and metalworking industries. The largest contribution to output is traditionally provided by the manufacturing industry, which accounts for over 85% of the total volume.

Significant differences also persist between regions: the highest per capita industrial production figures were recorded in Navoiy Region, Tashkent, and Tashkent Region. Overall, the country also saw an increase in productivity, which amounted to 105.9% year-on-year.

Food products, textiles, and mechanical engineering occupy a noticeable share in the output structure. Significant volumes of energy resources, cement, and agricultural products were also recorded during the reporting period, reflecting the stable dynamics of the industrial sector.
