Uzbek companies have agreed on the first deliveries of goods to the Syrian market following online negotiations with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan. Representatives of a number of companies from both countries participated in the discussion, with the key topic being the formation of a trade channel and the launch of regular supplies. Following the meetings, the shipment of the first batches of products totaling 10 trucks was confirmed.
The structure of deliveries has already been distributed: four trucks will carry household appliances, another four will carry vegetable oils, and two will carry auto parts and motor oils. In parallel, the parties discussed the operation of a trading house in Aleppo, logistics, local market demand, and the promotion of Uzbek products under a single brand. The issue of accelerated distribution and simplification of delivery routes was also raised separately.
According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the export potential of this direction could reach 100–150 million dollars, including supplies of equipment, food products, and automotive goods. In the future, expansion of presence is being considered not only in Syria but also in Iraq and Afghanistan, where interest in Uzbek products is already being recorded and infrastructure for further deliveries is being formed.
