Uzbekistan strengthens its automotive industry: the country embraces global standards and innovations

Uzbekistan's delegation participated in the international conference WASIC-2026 in China

A delegation from Uzbekistan participated in the IV World Automotive Standards and Innovation Conference WASIC–2026, held in Shenzhen. Specialists from the Agency for Technical Regulation took part in the forum, presenting a report on current reforms and industry development in the country.

Discussions focused on international quality standards in the automotive industry, including the IATF 16949 system, as well as modern approaches to production management and efficiency improvement. Conference participants also addressed issues of personnel training and the implementation of digital technologies in the automotive industry to enhance the industry's global competitiveness.

Representatives of Uzbekistan presented a set of reforms in the areas of standardization, metrology, and technical regulation, and discussed prospects for cooperation with foreign partners. During the visit, the delegation familiarized themselves with China's experience in production digitalization and modern quality standards, which is expected to strengthen Uzbekistan's integration into the international automotive industry.
