A major business forum was held in Utsunomiya, Japan, located in Tochigi Prefecture, with the participation of a delegation from Uzbekistan's Fergana region and representatives of Japanese businesses. The event gathered around 100 companies and served as a platform for discussing investment cooperation and expanding economic ties between the regions.
Khokim of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, noted in his speech that relations between Uzbekistan and Japan have reached a new level and require strengthening direct interregional contacts. Participants of the forum were presented with information about the region's investment climate, tax incentives, business preferences, and the results of economic reforms.
A separate block of discussions was dedicated to labor migration and personnel training, as well as the development of joint projects in IT, energy, medicine, tourism, and digital transformation. Following the event, the parties confirmed their interest in expanding practical cooperation and creating new joint investment initiatives.
