Uzbekistan continues to attract the attention of Chinese investors. In Jiaxing city, Zhejiang Province, representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai held talks with the management of Zicheng United Construction Group and Jiaxing Houbang Import and Export, during which prospects for cooperation and implementation of new projects were discussed.
The Uzbek side provided information on the country's investment climate, existing incentives for foreign investors, infrastructure development, and business opportunities. Following the meeting, Jiang Guohua, head of Zicheng United Construction Group, expressed interest in opening a company representative office in Uzbekistan and confirmed plans to visit the republic in June–July for a detailed discussion of potential projects.
Jiaxing Houbang, a company operating in international textile and apparel trade, also showed interest in cooperation. Its head, Xu Wei, positively assessed the changes in Uzbekistan's light industry and announced his readiness to explore the possibility of building a textile enterprise. In addition, the parties agreed to organize a visit of Chinese entrepreneurs to Uzbekistan by the end of the year to prepare specific proposals.
