Fergana agreed with Japan on projects and IT services export for $5 million

The delegation's visit to Japan resulted in new agreements, investment negotiations, and contracts in the digital sector

A delegation from Fergana region, led by Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov, concluded a working visit to Japan, resulting in the signing of six cooperation agreements and a number of arrangements in trade, investment, and high technologies.

During the trip, regional representatives held meetings with the leadership of Tokyo, Hachioji, as well as Chiba and Tochigi prefectures. Negotiations also took place with Japanese companies operating in the automotive industry, electrical engineering, information technology, agriculture, food industry, education, medicine, and international trade. Special attention was paid to developing business contacts and finding new directions for joint projects.

One of the main outcomes of the visit was an agreement with 10 Japanese IT companies to export services totaling $5 million by the end of 2027. In addition, within the framework of the business forum, the Uzbek side presented the investment potential of Fergana region and studied Japanese experience in digital technologies, medicine, and the food industry. The participants in the negotiations confirmed their interest in further expansion.
