Uzbekistan and Zuckerberg's Company Strengthen Digital Cooperation: AI Skills Training Programs Launched

Educational initiative for businesses and youth to be launched in the country for the first time in the APAC region

A meeting was held in Tashkent between Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, and Beth Ann Lim, Meta*'s representative for government policy in the Asia-Pacific region. The parties discussed the development of the country's digital economy and the expansion of cooperation in specialist training.

The main focus of the negotiations was on developing digital skills among young people, creating new educational and career opportunities, and generating high value-added jobs in the IT sector. Meta* representatives noted the growth of Uzbekistan's startup ecosystem and expressed readiness to support innovative projects and their entry into international markets.

Separately, the launch of the Small Business Growth Academy program was discussed, which combines Meta*'s AI-powered tools, including Advantage+ and Meta* Business Agent, with training modules for entrepreneurs. The program will be launched for the first time in the APAC region specifically in Uzbekistan and aims to develop practical digital skills among small and medium-sized businesses, startups, and youth.
