The Center for Digital Government Cooperation, established within the framework of the partnership between Uzbekistan and South Korea, has been inaugurated in Tashkent. A delegation from the Republic of Korea, led by Minister of Interior and Safety Yoon Ho-yeung, visited IT Park Uzbekistan, where they familiarized themselves with the current results of the country's digital transformation, the development of the startup ecosystem, and the growth of IT service exports.

The guests were shown the infrastructure of electronic public services, the architecture of the Single Portal, the operation of data centers, and measures to support technopark residents, including tax incentives and IT visas. During negotiations with Uzbekistan's Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, the parties discussed expanding cooperation and attracting South Korean companies to localize their businesses in the region.

The development of the Uzbek startup environment, which has received international recognition, was specifically noted, as were plans for joint projects in education, R&D based at Cyber University in Nurafshan, cybersecurity, and the gaming industry. The construction of large data centers in Karakalpakstan was also discussed.

The visit culminated in the signing of a memorandum on the establishment of the new center, which is intended to become a platform for technology exchange and accelerating digital integration between the countries.
