In Vienna, negotiations were held between the delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Akram Aliyev, and representatives of international organizations and European businesses. The main topic of discussion was the expansion of investment and technological cooperation.
A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a joint declaration with UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) on the establishment of a Regional Green Industrial Technologies Hub in Uzbekistan. The new center is intended to become a platform for implementing environmentally friendly and energy-efficient solutions in Central Asian industry.
The visit also included a round table with the participation of representatives of the Austrian government, including Deputy Minister of Finance Andreas Reichhardt and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Energy. Prospects for joint projects in the mining industry, infrastructure, and transport sector were discussed.
Particular attention was paid to negotiations with large European companies operating in the fields of infrastructure, transport, and high technologies. The parties considered possible investment initiatives and ways to implement innovative solutions.
The Uzbek delegation also participated in an international forum dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the OPEC Fund for International Development, where the expansion of financial and investment cooperation and the development of existing joint projects were discussed.
