Direct Flight Between Tashkent and Amman to Launch: Starting June 30

The new route strengthens transport links between Uzbekistan and Jordan and simplifies travel between the countries

Regular direct flights are being launched between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Jordan. The national carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines will operate flights on the new route, which is expected to expand transport and tourism links between the countries.

The launch of the flight is seen as a step towards intensifying business, humanitarian, and tourist contacts. The direct route is expected to significantly increase passenger traffic between Tashkent and Amman and simplify travel logistics.

The first flight is scheduled for June 30. Flight RJ196 will depart from Amman International Airport at 10:50 PM local time and arrive at Tashkent Islam Karimov International Airport the next day at 5:25 AM.

The decision to launch direct flights was made following high-level negotiations between Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Jordan's King Abdullah II in August 2025 in Samarkand.

Additionally, the parties previously agreed on visa liberalization: starting September 2025, citizens of Uzbekistan can visit Jordan without a visa for up to 30 days, making the route even more attractive for passengers.
