The volume of market services in Uzbekistan for January–May 2026 reached 533,079.2 billion soums, an increase of 16.5% in real terms compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee, clarifying that the data is preliminary and may be adjusted.
The largest market share continues to be held by Tashkent — 41.1% of the total volume, or 218,941.1 billion soums. Significant indicators were also recorded in Samarkand, Tashkent, and Fergana regions. At the same time, the highest growth rates among regions were shown by Navoi region, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and Surkhandarya region.
Per capita, the volume of services amounted to 13.915 million soums, which is 14.4% higher than last year's level. Tashkent remains the leader with a significant lead over other regions.
Trade, financial services, transport, as well as accommodation and catering made a significant contribution to the sector's growth. The accelerated growth of IT services and education, which increased by more than 20%, is separately noted.
In the market structure, the largest segments remain trade (26.6%), accommodation and catering services (17%), transport (16%), and the financial sector (15.8%). The statistical committee also reported a revision of the trade calculation methodology taking into account international recommendations, which affected the comparability of data for the previous period.
